Sharon Secondus-Samuel is from West Africa, Nigeria and has lived in America for 5 years, starting out as a Masters's student in Health informatics and Management and now works as a Healthcare data analyst in Boston. She is also one of the of The LS District to share their experience in order to help other immigrant students navigate the American system.Sharon is also passionate black healthcare especially maternal mortality and she is also an entrepreneur of Seaposlipscrubs. A little fun fact is that she has been a pescetarian for over 10years.
Lilian Agyemang-Yeboah is a born and bred Ghanaian living in America. She is a Polymer/Plastics Engineer, currently working as an R&D Engineer in the Biotech industry, seeking to provide solutions in the medical industry. Sharing stories is at the core of Lilian, thus joining forces on TheLSDistrict to help improve the journey for other immigrants. Working in a predominantly white male industry, Lilian is almost always the only black woman in the room, and thus she is very passionate about mentoring young black women to foster an interest in STEM in order to get more black women at the forefront of making world change.
