Lauren Owan serves as the Vice Chair of Economic Development for the National Black United Front, which is a grassroots movement with the mission to unite like minded individuals and organizations that are committed to uplifting the black community and connect with the our African ancestry. I would like to share our mission with your audience and hopefully connect with other Africans/African American interesting in volunteering or community work in the DMV area. I also host my own podcast Akata Girl Chronicles which centers various topics and pop culture themes around the unique perspective of an African and Black American woman.
