My name is Nicholas (Nick) Merriman and I am a entrepreneur and CEO of PreHzydential LLC. I enjoy bringing people together and selling products from my brand by using whatever platform/avenue I am given. I was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana (South America). I migrated to the United States in 2005 leaving my mother in Guyana to come live with my father and late grandmother in Washington D.C. After my first year living in Washington D.C., my father, grandmother and I relocated to Silver Spring, Maryland where I attended High School. In 2010 my grandmother passed, my father migrated back to Guyana and I then started to attend Bowie State University while residing with my uncle and aunt in Prince George's County.
At Bowie State University, I held many leadership positions while pursuing my bachelor's degree in Political Science. As my popularity grew, I began hosting and planning events for the students on campus due to lack of activities to interact with each other at the time. Since a child, I always had a love and passion for business so I used the opportunity and launched my own company called "PreHzydential" (pronounced 'presidential'). PreHzydential became a well known brand for college events. Post undergraduate graduation (May, 2015), I continued doing events on a more grown and older level but needed another platform to market my brand. I then started designing caps with customers and celebrities supporting as far as Guyana and Ghana.
After taking some time away from the party scene and fashion. In 2017 I brought my mother to live permanently with me in the United States, then graduated with my Master's in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, University College in 2018. Post graduate school, I re-branded and made PreHzydential an LLC. In March 2019, I launched my first shirts produced by the company selling out in 14 hrs. In June, I announced the return of PreHzydential Caps and in July was sold out of more than 40 caps in less than a 3 weeks. Today, PreHzydential LLC is a licensed sales company in the state of Maryland, soon to expand with 2 additional branches in marketing and talent management. PreHzydential is here to make the people feel GOLDEN and PRESTIGIOUS.
